How many bubbles are released in a single 100 ml glass of champagne as it goes flat?
Answer
1,000,000 bubbles
Physicist Gérard Liger-Belair spent decades photographing champagne fizz to count them — the bubbles nucleate on microscopic cellulose fibers left behind by cleaning cloths, not on the glass itself.
